Beginning with Gezi Resistance, the transformation of mass media, politics and public spheres in Turkey have accelerated. And all these transformations triggered profound changes in forms of political expression, participation and protest. The forms of political protest are intertwined with, but not limited to, social media. The aesthetics of political protest forms are also linked to the journalistic questions. The visual, textual and performative elements of the protests in public spaces are intertwined with art, politics and journalistic forms as well. And the tendency of increasing pressure in political, journalistic and public spheres is not only effecting Turkey now, therefore discussing the forms of political protest in Turkey gives us an important clue about the transformation of public spheres.
